The primary difference between Broadway and Off-Broadway is the seating capacity of the theater, not the quality or location. Broadway theaters have 500+ seats, while Off-Broadway theaters seat 100–499. Broadway is characterized by large, expensive productions, whereas Off-Broadway offers more intimate, experimental, or diverse shows. 

In-Person Rush tickets are a limited number of tickets for sale at the box office when it opens for the day of the performance. Certain shows get busy very early, like 7am or even earlier during the summer months, so plan to spend some time in line. Seat locations may vary. Usually the limit is 2 tickets per person purchasing, but that can change per show.

Digital lotteries can vary from platform to platform and are best done via apps like Today Tix or Telecharge anywhere from one day to several days in advance. Hamilton has it’s own app that you can enter every Friday.

Digital Rush tickets are generally available online the day of the performance starting at 11am. Check our listings for the show you’re interested in as the details can vary from show to show.
