Broadway Barks is an annual animal charity event held in New York City to promote the adoption of shelter animals. Founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, the event has been held every July in Shubert Alley, starting in 1999.

The 28th annual Broadway Barks—the dog and cat adoption celebration founded by three-time Tony honoree Bernadette Peters and the late Mary Tyler Moore—will be held July 11 in Shubert Alley.

Peters and Tony nominee Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon) will host the annual event, which kicks off at 3 PM with a meet and greet of the adoptable pets, with celebrity presentations of the animals from NYC rescue groups scheduled for 5–6:30 PM.

Celebrity presenters are currently scheduled to include Melissa Barrera (Titaníque), Shoshana Bean (The Lost Boys), Alex Brightman (Schmigadoon!), Reeve Carney (The Great Gatsby), Sara Chase (Schmigadoon!), Marcus Choi (Maybe Happy Ending), Lilli Cooper (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Ayo Edebiri (Proof), Claybourne Elder (Little Shop of Horrors), Ana Gasteyer (Schmigadoon!),  J. Harrison Ghee (Hadestown),  Frankie Grande (Titaníque), Ann Harada (Schmigadoon!),  Jessica Hecht (Dog Day Afternoon), Nikki M. James (Little Shop of Horrors), Isaiah Johnson (Hamilton), Caissie Levy (Ragtime), Laurie Metcalf (Death of Salesman),  Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago), Eva Noblezada (The Great Gatsby),  Amanda Jill Robinson (Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical), Ben Vereen (Pippin), Maria Wirries (The Lost Boys), and Wesley Wray (Buena Vista Social Club).
